The university has established the Vanderbilt Disaster Outreach Program (VDOP) to gain a better understanding of Vanderbilt community members affected by catastrophic events, such as natural or human-made disasters, and connect them with available resources.
Through VDOP, the university will send disaster outreach notifications to its community members living in affected areas off campus where major catastrophic events have occurred to connect them with various incident recovery resources.
Individuals will receive notifications at their Vanderbilt email address, as well as through SMS text* if they opt into this delivery method. If you have further questions about VDOP, please visit the FAQs or email the Office of Emergency Management at publicsafetyinfo@vanderbilt.edu.
*To view or update your delivery methods, please use the instructions on the AlertVU website.
